PAT TESTING

 

The legal requirement for PAT testing comes from the Electricity at Work Regulations. This requires employers to maintain "electrical systems" at work to prevent any danger by periodic inspections, “electrical systems” are the installation as well as all the appliances connected to it; For an office, this is typically every year.

The maintenance of the appliances can mainly be carried out in-house in various organisations. This allows more efficient cost savings and more flexibility when PAT testing is carried out.
